SCDF Again! – Ex-SCDF director on trial for misappropriating iPads

Money no enough ha….?

An SCDF commissioner was charged a few years ago for sex-for-contract case.

And then SCDF recruits smashed their classroom to pieces.

And now an SCDF director is on trial for misappropriating 2 iPads.

Jeganathan Ramasamy, 63, faces two charges of criminal breach of trust for obtaining two iPad 2 tablets from NCS Pte Ltd, which is one of the main IT vendors for the SCDF.

The tablets, valued at nearly S$940 each, were said to have been delivered to Jeganathan’s office in Ubi Avenue and were meant for testing of mobile applications.

He then allegedly gave one of the iPads to his daughter for her personal use, and sold the other to his colleague Eric Yap Wee Teck – then the senior director for emergency services – for S$200.

Something in the fire hydrant water ain’t clean….
