What people would do for money…..
In a country where fifty ringgit will get you out of most troubles with the Police, 12 police officers have been arrested in connection with mass graves found near the Malaysia-Thailand border, said Malaysia’s Deputy Home Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku .
Malaysian police forensic teams have begun exhuming bodies from shallow graves found around abandoned jungle camps in Perlis, which are believed to have been used for human trafficking victims.
The government had also said it was investigating whether local forestry officials were involved with the people-smuggling gangs, allegedly responsible for nearly 140 such graves found in Perlis.
The forests along the border have been a major holding location for traffickers bringing migrants, believed to be from Myanmar and Bangladesh, to Southeast Asia.
