And The Birds Are Heading Up North – Singaporeans Going To Malaysia For Holidays

Watch out! here they come….

Cheap! Cheap! Cheap! (Ok we’ll stop)

With the Sing Dollar gaining strength against the Malaysian Ringgit (S$1 = RMalot), Singaporeans are heading up north to spend their hard-earned money.

Travel agencies reported an increase of about 15% bookings compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Malaysian Tourism Minister, Mohd Nazri said that he welcomed the weak ringgit as this would boost domestic consumption and tourist arrivals.

We couldn’t understand what the economists were saying (as usual) but they mentioned Fed reserves, oil prices, greenback and some other things. You make out whatever you want out of it.

What we do understand is that this is the best time to splurge and live your life as an ugly Singaporean.

Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!
