PM Lee has warned that the MERS virus (think of camels) will inevitably make its way into Singapore and we must be prepared for it.

He said that the nature of globalisation means that it will be difficult to insulate Singapore from the virus. But he assured Singaporeans that Singapore’s medical facilities are prepared to tackle the problem.

Meanwhile, both Hong Kong and Taiwan have issued travel warnings for travels to South Korea.

Singapore on the other hand, has only begun to screen inbound travellers from South Korea at the airport.

So yes. Be prepared for the virus coming into our country.
