Chefs from Hell’s Kitchen….
A long, long time ago when Singapore was more peaceful without the internet, the tranquillity of the island nation was momentarily broken with the curry murder case whereby the victim was chopped to pieces and cooked in curry.
Fast forward to the present where apparently a similar plan was thwarted when 3 men were charged and remanded for attempted murder.
Two Myanmar nationals and one Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) were charged and remanded with one count each of abetment by conspiracy to commit murder.
The Myanmar nationals are Yae Wynnt Oaung, 32, and Phyo Min Naing, 31. The PR is Zaw Min Hlaing, 37.
The trio, together with Win Kyaw Kyaw Aung alias Aung Aung, allegedly intended to kill Singapore PR Aye Maung Maung Thet.
Aung Aung, Zaw Min Hlaing and Phyo Min Naing then attempted to abduct the victim on Sunday at about 9.30pm in a multi-storey carpark at Blk 747A, Pasir Ris Street 71. In the process of doing so, Zaw Min Hlaing and Phyo Min Naing allegedly hurt the victim by assaulting and using a taser on him.
They also seized items such as a meat mincer, chainsaw, kitchen knives, gas cooker, gas cylinder tank, a tool set, trolley bags, plastic sheets, cable ties, cleaver, aprons, chopping board and rubber boots. An abandoned vehicle – believed to be linked to the case – was also seized from a carpark in Changi Airport Terminal 3.
