In the past, whenever there was a problem between Singapore and its neighbour up north, calls for the water supply from Johor to be cut would ring loud and wide.
And when Singapore introduced re-cycled waste water to be consumed, Malaysians laughed and ridiculed us for drinking our own urine.
And now that Johor has been hit by severe drought, Singapore has begun supplying more potable water to the state
This followed a request from Johor’s water regulatory body Badan Kawalselia Air Johor (BAKAJ) for an additional 5 to 6 million gallons of potable water per day amid low supply, PUB said in a news release.
Don’t you just love Singapore?
We now export our re-cycled urine too!
Wonder if our neighbours can taste the difference…
