Seems like SDA has gotten the NSP bug.
Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) member William Lim on Sunday (Aug 30) announced his resignation from the party, two days ahead of Nomination Day.
In a statement, Mr Lim said he resigned from the party due to “personal reasons”. He had been with the party since July 2014.
“I have done my best to help the party prepare for the General Election and it is time for me to leave and pursue my own interests,” said Mr Lim, in response to media queries. He added that he was looking into a new business venture.
When asked how his departure will affect SCA’s membership, Mr William Lim said: “I think it will be a good thing. People will prefer an association that is not affiliated to a political party. They will be more willing to participate and help out.”
